Features

Connect Shoal to the tools you already use.

Most events start in a spreadsheet. Shoal takes CSV files everywhere it matters, and its API keeps your other systems in sync once you are up and running.

CSV In, CSV Out

Import attendees, tracks, sessions, speakers, questions and notifications from CSV files, with a template for each. If any row has a problem, nothing is imported. Export attendees, with every answer, whenever you like.

An API for Your Own Systems

Create API keys to list and update events, attendees, sessions, speakers and audiences. Send up to 500 attendees at a time, matched by email, and only the fields you send change. The API never emails anyone.

Guides for Non-Developers

Shoal's Help includes plain-language guides and a ready-made Airtable script, so you can sync a base without hiring a developer.

What You Can Do

  • CSV templates for every import
  • All-or-nothing imports that never leave half a change
  • API keys you can revoke any time
  • Create and update events through the API
  • Upsert up to 500 attendees per request
  • Sessions, speakers and audiences through the API
  • Step-by-step Airtable guide

Questions

Is the API an extra cost?

No. API access comes with every event at every size.

How are API keys stored?

Keys are shown to you once and stored only as a scrambled fingerprint, so nobody can read them back. Revoke one at any time.
