Features

Turn your event into a game people actually play.

Give attendees a reason to visit every booth, meet new people and stay for the last session. The Game lives in the attendee app, so there is nothing extra to buy or install.

Points for the Things You Want People to Do

Pick what earns points: checking in, adding a photo, completing a profile, building a schedule, answering the survey and meeting other attendees by scanning their badge. Points are worked out live from what people actually do, so nobody has to keep score.

Secret Codes, Trivia and Staff Awards

Create secret codes for sponsor booths, sessions or a scavenger hunt, and print them as QR posters straight from Shoal. Ask trivia questions with one try each. Let your team hand out points from the Check-in tab when someone deserves them. Give any of these an opening and closing time so they fit the agenda.

Teams, Badges and Prizes

Group players into teams by company, track or audience and rank them by total or average. Unlock badges at a points level or for certain actions. Offer prizes to the top players or draw raffle winners from everyone past a points level.

A Leaderboard for the Big Screen

Put the live leaderboard on a TV or projector with one link. It shows the top players, the top teams and a QR code to join, and refreshes on its own. On their phones, players see a celebration when they earn points, unlock a badge or climb into the top ten.

Questions

Does the Game cost extra?

No. It comes with every event at every size. Turn it on from the event's Game section.

Do attendees have to join?

Playing is their choice. They join from the Game tab of their ticket, or by claiming their first code. Only players appear on the leaderboard, shown as first name and last initial.

Can people cheat by guessing codes?

Anyone who enters too many wrong codes in a short time is paused for a few minutes, so guessing doesn't pay.
