Free or Paid, on One Form
Each event is either free or paid. Free events register people straight away. Paid events send buyers to a secure checkout and return them to a confirmation page. Either way, every person gets a ticket by email with a QR code.
Ask What You Need to Know
Job Title and Company are built in, and you choose whether each is optional, required or hidden. Add your own questions too: short text, long text, choice or checkbox. Show a question only when an earlier answer calls for it, and watch the form update in a live preview in your branding. Mark a question as team only and attendees never see it.
Your Stripe Account, Your Money
Connect your own Stripe account and ticket money goes straight to you. You pay Stripe's card fees. Shoal takes no cut of ticket sales. Set prices by ticket type, limit how many of each you sell, and refund from the attendee's Edit pop-up.
Capacity and Waitlists
Set a limit for the event. On free events, turn on the waitlist and Shoal promotes the next person when a spot opens, then emails them their ticket. Paid checkouts hold a spot while someone pays, so you never oversell.
Bring Your Spreadsheet
Paste a list or import a CSV to add people. Import Attendees updates fields, answers, tables and seats for people you already have, matched by email. If any row has a problem, nothing is changed, so a bad file never leaves half an update behind.

Questions
Does Shoal take a share of my ticket sales?
No. You connect your own Stripe account and the money goes to you. You pay only Stripe's normal card fees. Shoal's own price is per event; see the pricing page.
Can I collect extra information from attendees?
Yes. Add your own questions on the event's Form & Fields tab, and edit answers later from the attendee's Edit pop-up. Answers are included in the attendee CSV.
Can a question depend on an earlier answer?
Yes. Show a question only when a choice or checkbox question has a certain answer. Hidden questions are never required, and their answers are dropped.
What happens when the event is full?
On free events with the waitlist on, new people join the waitlist and are promoted automatically when a spot opens. Paid events don't use a waitlist.
