Features

Run invite-only events that stay out of search engines.

Internal conferences and member meetings should not be public. In Shoal, privacy is the starting point, not a setting you have to find.

Private by Default

A new event is private. Only the people you invite can register, and they have to be signed in with the invited email. Private events are never listed and tell search engines not to index them.

Invite the People You Mean

Add people by pasting lines or importing a CSV, then send branded invitations in one step. Mark someone as registered by hand when you need to; that never emails them. When you are ready, email tickets to one person or everyone who has none yet.

Open It Up When You Want To

Switch an event to Unlisted or Public when it is meant for everyone. Only Public events are indexed or listed in the sitemap. Everything else stays out of search results.

Target Who Gets What

Define audiences by rules such as company, track or ticket type. Send a notification to one audience, or email invited people who have not registered yet.

Questions

Can anyone find a private event on Google?

No. Private events tell search engines not to index them, and only Public events appear in the sitemap.

Who can register for a private event?

Only people you have invited, signed in with the email you invited.

Can I change an event from private to public later?

Yes. Change its visibility any time. Only Public events are indexed.
